The "Hakuna Matata" Leopard 47 is a large catamaran, built in 2003 in Cape Town, South Africa by the renowned Robertson & Caine. The Leopard 47 is an award winning design and one of the most popular charter catamarans in the world. On board you’ll find 4 spacious cabins, galley and fully equipped kitchen, spacious cockpit and dining room, and an outside deck area. Our Leopard 47 is outfitted with additional features for added comfort and convenience. This includes a 110V generator, air conditioning, hot water tank, solar panels, dinghy with gas engine, a plastic Bimini top with sun shades on all sides, propane BBQ and more. You’ll find Leopard catamarans sailing in two of the most expensive and most well-known charter companies - Sunsail and Moorings!

Aboard the Hakuna Matata, the spacious accommodations offer double berth cabins with en-suite bathrooms and stall showers. Four cabins (one for crew) provide comfortable accommodation for six guests. Hakuna Matata is also available for Captain-only charters for six guests. (Please view layout.)
The huge protected outdoor area allows outdoor living in either sun or shade. The catamaran is equipped with all necessary scuba diving and snorkeling gear including; masks, snorkel, fins, tanks, weight belts,
12ft tender and compressor, allowing live-aboard diving operations with long autonomy from land based diving facilities.
Our Crew
Robert Piasecki
Captain Robert holds a Marine Engineering degree, and is certified as a Commercial Boat Master, Fishing Vessel Master and Yacht Master, STCW Safety. He has over 30 years of ocean-going experience as a Master of commercial vessels as well as pleasure sailing yachts.
His extensive knowledge and experience cover both Atlantic and Pacific waters.
The Caribbean from Curaçao all the way to Bermuda has been his home for the past 10 years. He lives aboard the Hakuna Matata and is constantly sailing, covering thousands of nautical miles every year.
He is an expert when it comes to boating, advising, educating and entertaining guests.
His extensive knowledge of boat operations and maintenance is a core responsibility for the maintenance of sails, deck equipment and machinery.
Robert is also a PADI SCUBA Diving Instructor and spent years working as a commercial diver in Poland, Pacific Canada and Alaska. He loves diving, especially far from crowded, popular destinations; he seeks out remote spots where discovery of completely new untouched diving sites is possible.

If you work out at sea for any length of time, you have no choice but to become a good cook, especially when there is such a variety of fish and seafood that can be caught from the boat. Robert loves cooking, and you’ll almost certainly have a chance to enjoy some of that cooking while on your charter.
Peter Marciniak
Peter has completed over 50,000 miles as a Captain including several Ocean crossings and numerous Caribbean charters. With that wealth of experience, you can be sure that you are in safe hands, since safety is always of paramount importance.
From a very young age, Peter has been surrounded by all things nautical, which allowed him to develop interest and passion towards the sea, paving the way toward a masterful career in the yachting industry. He has worked as a teacher, diver, manager, and delivery skipper. Due to his high level of expertise and degree of certification, he is on call as Captain for a number of sailing yachts.
In addition, he holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, Industry Canada Radio Operators Certificate, and a NAUI Advanced Diver certification with more than 25 years of recreational and commercial scuba diving experience.
Peter is a lifelong sailor with extensive experience in the yacht charter industry. In addition to his maritime background with credentials that include a Yacht Master Certificate, a good portion of Peter's professional career was spent in the hospitality business where he owned and managed a Fine Dining Restaurant in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, leading to his great attention to detail and client focused approach.
